My hope for you (and a promise)

Several weeks ago, a homeowner called me about moisture in his basement.

“I’m not sure where it’s coming from,” he told me, “and I’m not sure what to do next.”

It’s not unusual for folks to call with questions like this.

Most people call Umpire when they’ve had a pipe burst in their home, or they see visible mold, or they’ve just experienced a kitchen fire.

But some people call Umpire when they just have a question and need someone they trust to tell them the truth.

Ultimately, my biggest hope for you is that you never need to call me.

I really hope your home never floods. I hope you never experience a chimney fire, or have to remove mold from the basement, or find that a raccoon has been nesting in your attic.

But if you ever do, you can count on me and the Umpire team.

Not just for burst pipes and leaking dishwashers – but for all the strange and disorienting home damage surprises that can sometimes come with homeownership.

Because sometimes you’re not sure whether you even have a home damage problem on your hands, and you want to ask questions before you do anything else.

Or maybe you want to DIY the damage cleanup and need to make sure you’re doing things safely.

Whatever the case, even when you have questions but don’t need a service, you can always call us, day or night. We’re happy to help.
