The industry practice we don’t believe in

It’s a scenario you hope you never come home to:

You walk in the door from running errands and there’s water pooling on the kitchen floor. 

You started the dishwasher before you left this morning, and now it’s leaking everywhere.

You drop your keys on the counter and start Googling “dishwasher leak help” on your phone.

Later that afternoon, a water damage tech comes to look at the damage.

“We’ll send over a full quote,” they say, “but you’re probably looking at somewhere around twenty to twenty-five thousand.”

You try, and fail, to pick your jaw up off the floor. You hope insurance will cover it.

Here’s the thing: when you’re standing in an inch of water, trusting the expert in front of you should be the easiest part of a hard day.

But not every mitigation company scopes a job the same way. Some see an opportunity to over-scope and over-charge – more equipment than the room needs, more days than the job needs, every bit of it billed line by line – and they take it.

And that’s where a second opinion can save you a lot of heartache.
